قام المركز الوطني لمكافحة الأمراض بتفعيل غرفة طوارئ صحة المجتمع و تجهيز الفرق المكونة من مكتب الطوارئ و فريق الرصد و الاستجابة السريعة و فريق المطعمين و فريق البحوث و الدراسات وفريق التوعية والتثقيف وفريق الإعلام و التوثيق و ذلك للانطلاق نحو الجنوب لتنفيذ الخطة المصغرة للحد من انتشار الحصبة في المنطقة و التي شهدت مؤخرا ظهور عدة حالات لأطفال وبالغين مصابين بالحصبة خصوصا بحي الطيوري و حي الكرامة بمدينة سبها.
حيث قام فريق مكتب الطوارئ وفريق الرصد والاستجابة السريعة عند وصولهم لحي الطيوري و الكرامة بالكشف على 2300 طفل منهم 312 حالة مشتبه بإصابتها بمرض الحصبة وتم إرسال 41 عينة دم للمختبر و كانت النتيجة موجبة لعدد 11 طفل مشتبه بإصابته بالحصبة ليعتمد الفريق بعدها على العلامات السريرية الخاصة بمرض الحصبة لتشخيص المرض وذلك للحفاظ الموارد المخبرية.
كما تم خلال هذه الحملة التي شارك فيها و قادها مدير عام المركز تطعيم 1901 طفل بحي الطيور و الكرامة من عمر يوم إلى 6 سنوات ضد مرض الحصبة والحصبة الألمانية وشلل الأطفال ( حملة التطعيم 28 فبراير – 2 مارس / 2023 ) وقد أكد مدير عام المركز على أهمية تكثيف الجهود و العمل على تكرار مثل هذه الحملات التي من شأنها رفع مستوى الوعي وزيادة عدد المطعمين للحد من انتشار الأوبئة والأمراض في المناطق النائية والتي تعاني من نقص الخدمات الصحية فقد أظهرت الدراسة التي قام بها المركز أثناء هذه الحملة أن %70 من الحالات المصابة لم يسبق لها أن تلقت لقاح الحصبة فيما سبق .

The National Center for Disease Control has activated the public health emergency operation center (EOC) in order to coordinate and equipped the teams consisting of the emergency office, surveillance and rapid response team, the vaccinators team, research and studies team, awareness and education team (RCCE) , media and documentation team, in order to set out towards the south to implement the micro-plan to limit the spread of Measles in the region, which recently witnessed the emergence of several cases of children and adults with measles, especially in Al-Tayouri and Al-Karamah neighborhoods in Sabha, where the emergency office team and the surveillance and rapid response team, upon their arrival in Al-Tayoury and Al-Karama neighborhoods, examined 2,300 children, including 312 suspected cases of measles in which 41 blood samples were sent to the laboratory, and the result was positive for 11 children suspected of having measles. The team then relied on the clinical signs of measles to diagnose the disease in order to preserve laboratory resources. During this campaign, in which he participated and was led by the Director General of NCDC, 1901 children were vaccinated in Al-Tuyour and Al-Karamah neighborhoods from day one to 6 years of age against measles, rubella and polio (vaccination campaign February 28 – March 2 / 2023). The Director General of the NCDC stressed the importance Intensifying efforts and working to repeat such campaigns that would raise awareness and increase the number of vaccinated people to reduce the spread of epidemics and diseases in remote areas that suffer from a lack of health services. The study which conducted by NCDC during this campaign showed that 70% of cases had not previously received the measles vaccine.
